I orders some Gerbera Daisies recently since I have had so many requests for flower clips- how can I blame ppl- they are adorable. The flower clips are my husband's favorite item that I make. I used a site Save on Crafts that I had used for other items in the past. I am always a little nervous when I order items like this online- they may look good in the picture- but do they feel good? I was so shocked and happy to see my order on my doorstep this morning. It came in a huge box! The flowers were packed perfectly and this is great because it means that they aren't wrinkled (i.e. no need to steam iron them). I have tons of fun colors- lime, white, yellow, light yellow, orange, blue, peach, hot pink, light pink, and fushia! I also was able to get these for less than I spend at the half off sales or with coupons here in town. I did have to order more (large number of each color) but I am hoping that I can share my good fortune and post these on esty as some supplies. After opening the box I spent the next forty-five or so destemming the flowers which is the first step in the deconstruction/reconstruction process to get them ready as hair pretties. My "bow studio" (some people might call this a butlers pantry) is chock full of projects to start so I better stop yacking and start creating!

I'm very excited about these cute little daisies! :)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Good luck with your Etsy shop. I am so jealous.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to have a first time order come in great condition. Looks like you have a ton of pretties! I love the idea for the hats with the daisy/flower on them that I saw on Sera's blog.
